An Incredible Night for #NuclearNow Screening at Ontario Tech's Reagent Theatre! 📣

As a representative of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) at Ontario Tech University (NAYGN OTU), I am absolutely delighted to reflect on last night's successful screening of Oliver Stone's 'Nuclear Now'. We were truly humbled to partner with Ontario Tech University Engineering, Creative Fire, and Ontario Power Generation to deliver this insightful documentary for free to our community.

The Regent Theatre in Oshawa buzzed with energy and curiosity as a diverse crowd gathered to explore the untapped potential of nuclear energy. The tremendous turnout at this event testifies to the increasing public interest in the nuclear industry and the urgent need for sustainable energy solutions.

'Nuclear Now' offered an unprecedented deep dive into the nuclear industry in France, Russia, and the United States, unravelling a plethora of thought-provoking perspectives. This film was not just eye-opening - it was mind-expanding, peeling back layers of misconceptions, misunderstanding, and fear that have clouded our perceptions of nuclear energy.

One of the film’s key messages resonated deeply with us all: "Knowledge is the antidote to fear". Oliver Stone reminds us of the latent power that lies beneath our feet in Uranium atoms, and how human ingenuity could unlock this energy to solve the climate change crisis.
